Bey Wallet – Cashu Bitcoin wallet with Nostr & Lightning
Built a Cashu-based mobile Bitcoin wallet that issues, sends, and receives ecash tokens backed by Lightning payments. Integrated Nostr for social payments and zaps, including NIP‑05 style usernames under the bey.cash domain. Implemented a React Native/Expo frontend optimized for low-end devices and unstable mobile networks, with a focus on simple wallet UX. Onboarded 100+ early users from the Bitcoin/Cashu community, who completed real Lightning and on-chain transactions during testing.
